The Income Tax Department Of India has extended the last date for linking the Aadhaar number with PAN, in order to provide relief amid the COVID-19 situation.
The government has already extended the deadline several times in the past.
The Aadhaar is a 12-digit number issued by the UIDAI and is also known as Unique Identity Number and The PAN is 10-digit alpha-numeric number and is allotted by the Income Tax Department Of India.

- Open the Income Tax e-filing portal
- Go to ”Link Aadhaar” section mentioned on the left side of the portal.
- Here, fill your PAN card number, Aadhaar number, Name and the CAPTCHA verification.
- Click on the ‘Link Aadhaar‘ option.
- The Department will validate your details and thereafter your PAN – Aadhaar linking will be completed successfully.
